Bank Transaction Split Rules
Business Value
Certain bank transactions contain multiple amounts in a single posting — for example, tax authority direct debits or loan installments with principal and interest components. Splitting these manually is time-consuming and error-prone. Automatic split rules ensure that such transactions are already correctly split and allocated to the right G/L accounts when imported.
Feature Description
With Bank Transaction Split Rules in 365 business Banking, you can configure predefined rules that are automatically applied when bank transactions are retrieved. Each rule defines filter criteria (e.g., bank account, business partner IBAN, search pattern in the payment reference) and split lines with G/L account assignments, fixed amounts, or percentages.
Transactions that match a rule are automatically split into the defined sub-amounts and appear already divided in the Payment Reconciliation Journal.
For more information on setting up split rules, see the article Bank Transaction Split Rules.
