Deferral Plans in Payment Reconciliation Journals
Business Value
Certain revenues and expenses — such as insurance premiums, rent, or license fees — span multiple accounting periods yet arrive as a single bank transaction. Without integrated deferral support, accountants must create separate manual journals to distribute these amounts correctly across periods. 365 business Banking eliminates this extra step by allowing deferral schedules to be assigned directly within the Payment Reconciliation Journal.
Feature Description
365 business Banking extends the posting setup in the Payment Reconciliation Journal with support for deferral codes: per posting line, a deferral schedule can be assigned so that the posted amount is automatically distributed across the defined future periods.
Deferral assignments can be applied manually per line or automatically via reconciliation rules whenever a transaction matches a configured rule.
For more information on the posting setup and deferral plans, see the article Posting Setup.
