Bank accounts

What 365 business Banking adds to bank accounts: bank account card, bank balance, capabilities, banks, ledger entries, disconnecting and own accounts.

With 365 business Banking, a bank account in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central becomes a connected account: transactions are retrieved through its Account Information Service, and payments are made through its Payment Initiation Service. The bank account card shows which bank connection is used (PSD2/XS2A via finAPI, EBICS, camt/pain file or a payment service provider). The pages in this section apply to every connection. Differences are described on the respective page.

How to connect a bank account is described in Connect a bank account.

You can choose the two services independently, for example statements via finAPI and payments via EBICS. Use With My Own Bank Login is active as soon as one of the two services is PSD2/XS2A via finAPI. See Combine banking services.

Which accounts you can connect

Via PSD2/XS2A, you reach the accounts that your bank releases through its interface. These are usually checking accounts and, depending on the bank, also savings, loan, credit card, securities and building savings accounts. The bank reports the account type when you connect. Via EBICS, you reach the accounts that your EBICS contract includes. With camt/pain files, you reach any account for which your bank provides such files. For more information, see Bank connection via PSD2/XS2A, EBICS, camt/pain file.
