365 business Banking retrieves Stripe payments, fees and refunds into the payment reconciliation journal and applies them to open entries.

Stripe is a widely used payment service provider for online payments, through which companies accept credit cards, debit cards and other payment methods. Without a connection, incoming Stripe payments must be matched manually with open entries in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. With a high transaction volume, this is error-prone.

Feature Description

365 business Banking connects your Stripe account to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central through the Stripe API. Retrieve Bank Transactions transfers the balance transactions of the Stripe account to the payment reconciliation journal. This includes incoming payments, fees and refunds. Fees appear as separate lines and can be posted automatically through reconciliation rules, see Payment Service Provider Fees.

The connection requires a secret API key from the Stripe Dashboard, either a standard key or a restricted key. A restricted key with read permission for the balance transactions is recommended.
