PayPal is one of the most widely used online payment services worldwide. Companies that receive payments through PayPal must match PayPal transactions with their open customer ledger entries in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Without a direct connection, transactions must be exported, compared and posted manually. This process is time-consuming and error-prone.

Feature Description

365 business Banking connects your PayPal account to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central through the PayPal REST API. Retrieve Bank Transactions transfers the transactions to the payment reconciliation journal. Payments, fees and refunds are imported as separate lines and are available for automatic application to open entries.

The connection requires a REST API app in the PayPal developer account with a client ID and secret. The Transaction Search permission must be enabled for the app.
