Setup

Setting up 365 business Address Validation: the setup field reference, permissions, user settings, address data initialization, and the role center.

After installation, the most important settings are already preset, see Address Validation Setup. Complete the following steps in this order to fully set up the app.

  1. Assign permissions: Assign the permission set bdev.ADR Basic to users who work with address validation and prediction, and additionally bdev.ADR All to the person who sets up the app. See Permissions.
  2. Open Address Validation Setup: Review the preset values on the Address Validation, Address Prediction, Address Data Initialization, and User Interface FastTabs, and adjust them if needed. See Address Validation Setup.
  3. Initialize address data: Read the company's existing address data into the address data dictionary, so known addresses are not sent to the service again. See Initialize address data.
  4. User settings (optional): Specify per user or globally whether suggested changes are applied automatically without confirmation. See User settings.
  5. Role Center: The Address Validation role center shows the validation status of your address data at a glance. See Role Center.
