Permissions
This page describes the two permission sets of 365 business Address Validation and how to assign them to users.
User rights are assigned through permission sets, as usual in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
Standard functionality in Business Central
Permission sets assign users and user groups rights on tables, pages, and reports. For more information, see Assign permissions at Microsoft Learn.
Permission sets
| Permission set | Caption | Includes |
|---|---|---|
| bdev.ADR Basic | Address Validation Basic | Execute rights on all app objects, and full access (RIMD) to the app's data tables. Read-only access to Address Validation Setup: the setup can be viewed but not changed. |
| bdev.ADR All | Address Validation All | Includes bdev.ADR Basic and adds full access (RIMD) to Address Validation Setup. Users with this set can change the setup. |

No permissions for standard tables
Neither permission set includes permissions for standard tables such as Customer, Vendor, or Contact. Assign these separately, if required, using your own or standard Business Central permission sets.
Who needs which set
- bdev.ADR Basic: for every user who validates addresses or accepts predicted addresses, that is, anyone working day to day with contacts, customers, vendors, employees, resources, or sales and purchase documents.
- bdev.ADR All: additionally for the person who sets up 365 business Address Validation, that is, changes Address Validation Setup, controls the address data initialization, or creates user settings for other users.
Assigning permissions
Assign the permission sets like any other permission set in Business Central, for example on the Users or User Groups page. 365 business Address Validation does not add a dedicated page for this.
SUPER bypasses both sets
Users with the SUPER permission set have full access to the app, regardless of bdev.ADR Basic or bdev.ADR All. As an administrator, they can also change global user settings and the settings of other users, see User settings.
