Sales and purchase documents
365 business Address Validation checks three address blocks each on sales and purchase documents, with its own field highlighting and prediction per block.
In Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, these are Sell-to, Ship-to, and Bill-to on sales documents, and Buy-from, Ship-to, and Pay-to on purchase documents. Automatic validation is enabled by default through Sales Address Validation and Purchase Address Validation, and only runs when an address field is changed, not when the document is created.
Sales documents: quote and order
The Validate Address action asks which address block to check when it is run: Sell-to, Ship-to, or Bill-to. Field highlighting marks all three address blocks; for Ship-to and Bill-to, only while the respective option is set to Custom Address, that is, not taken over from the customer or a ship-to code.
Address prediction is only available for Ship-to and Bill-to, also only with Custom Address; the Sell-to address is not predicted, because it comes from the selected customer.
If the Ship-to or Bill-to address matches the Sell-to address at the time of the check, 365 business Address Validation only validates the Sell-to address once and then applies the result to the matching addresses as well, instead of checking the same address more than once.

Purchase documents: quote and order
The Validate Address action asks whether to check Buy-from, Ship-to, or Pay-to. Field highlighting marks all three address blocks. Address prediction is available for all three, controlled through Purchase Document Address Prediction.
If the Ship-to or Pay-to address matches the Buy-from address, validating the Buy-from address also applies the result to the matching addresses.
