Business Value

ERiC API Version 2 is the current, actively maintained version of the ERiC service in the 365 business API. It always supports the latest version of the ELSTER Rich Client (ERiC) library and provides enhanced feedback after tax data submission — including the Transfer Ticket Number as unique proof of a successful transmission, as well as detailed error descriptions for rejected filings. This gives users significantly better transparency and enables quick resolution of submission issues.

Feature Description

365 business ERiC communicates with the ERiC service via the 365 business API to electronically submit tax data to the German tax authorities. ERiC API Version 2 introduces two key improvements over Version 1: the Transfer Ticket Number as unique proof of a successful transmission, and extended error descriptions that provide detailed information about the cause when a submission is rejected. Using Version 2 is the recommended default for all current installations.
