# Retrieve Universal Transactions

For Universal, transactions are imported from configured files and then processed in payment reconciliation.

Processing imported transactions works exactly the same way as bank account reconciliation for regular bank accounts. For step-by-step instructions, see [Bank Account Reconciliation](../../bank-reconciliation.mdx).
